A publication to compete with Wired and Fast Company on alumni coffee tables
Tasked with creating an alumni magazine that competed for coffee-table real estate with more mainstream publications like Wired and Fast Company, we redesigned the annual publication with a rich, deep black and white cover to cut through the clutter and bold, eye-catching spreads that bring the in-depth stories to life. Through a mix of colorful photo manipulation, a consistent illustration style, serious yet inviting typography and a striking system for callouts and donor lists the publication has been well received by alumni. In addition, we applied the new look and feel to a series of gate-fold newsletters from each department within the college.
