We reorganized and refreshed the Syracuse University News site, providing students, alumni, faculty, the media and the greater Syracuse community with an all-encompassing resource for up-to-the-minute news on the University. Completely reorganizing the structure and refreshing the look of the site with a goal of keeping visitors engaged and digging deeper through the site, we connected every aspect of the site through careful tagging, post types and other connections. By adding a Faculty Experts section, we showcased Syracuse University professors and researchers, while keeping visitors engaged by connecting these faculty members with other relevant articles. Not only is the site optimized for visitors, the dozens of faculty and staff publishers benefit as well. We made it easy for publishers from across all colleges to post, tag, connect and update the site seamlessly with an easy-to-use content management system.
