Meeting the unique needs of ultra-wealthy families with a long-term view that balances competing and critical interests

We started with Nordwand. 

Dynasty Financial Partners came to us to devise a brand, website and print collateral for a multi-family office and investment firm. Their inspiration? 

The Nordwand.

German for north wall or north face, Nordwand often refers specifically to the infamous north face of the Eiger mountain. It’s a challenging climb that few alpinists will attempt, and those who reach its summit wear the accomplishment as a badge of pride. As a company name, Nordwand alludes to that exclusivity as well as the exclusivity of their elite clientele.

More significant than the nature of their clientele is what Nordwand’s team wishes to provide them with: responsible investment management for superior returns, productive generational continuity, and societal betterment. Indeed, Nordwand focuses on clients that share their team’s passion for environmental philanthropy, this being another reason for their nature-oriented brand. 

We translated their brand identity and messaging into visuals starting with a minimalist logo mark depicting  the Eiger as well as a “guiding star” to emphasize the notion of progress and aspiration. “Nordwand Capital” in a sharp, angular san serif typeface completes the logo.

The same typeface features on their business cards and envelopes, as well as the website. Typography and on-brand imagery are arranged responsively for an optimized look on all screen sizes and device types.
