A boutique wealth management firm gets a brand refresh to better reflect their distinctive expertise.

Founded in 2021, Ohio-based Advocus Private Wealth charts its own path and offers a less corporate, more personal, boutique option for highly successful individuals seeking a partner to help simplify the complexities of their wealth.

The name Advocus comes from what they pride themselves in doing for their clients — advocate. With a diverse clientele that includes entrepreneurs and professional athletes, the investment professionals are empathetic to the whirlwind experienced by those who suddenly come into great wealth, and the complexities that ensue.

The Advocus team felt that the current website did not adequately convey the distinctive insight and experience that they bring to their partnerships with these individuals, as well as with executives and high net worth families, and asked us for a brand refresh.

We approached the project with an eye toward approachability and simplification — without sacrificing credibility and demonstration of expertise. Maintaining the brand equity of their logo, we updated the color palette and typography to better reflect the warmth and empathy Advocus offers, while balancing it with confident leadership. 

The rebrand coincided with the firm’s office relocation to an historic, newly-renovated, power plant in downtown Columbus, and the new branding complemented the office’s new sleek, modern setting. We included imagery of the team collaborating in their new office space to give the site visitor an intimate look at the firm and with whom they would be meeting.

A simplified navigation ensured a site visitor would quickly realize that Advocus is an ideal partner to help them navigate the financial complexities that lay ahead, so that they can enjoy the success they worked so hard to achieve.
