Homestead Funds

Homestead Funds was founded in 1990 as a mutual fund investment opportunity for members of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). The company’s audience and growth objectives shifted, which Homestead seized as an opportunity to refresh its brand, and redesign its collateral and website. From the outset, we knew the company’s revised brand needed to reflect Homestead’s homegrown values of prudent investing and partnership, while also appealing to a growing audience of advisors. We created a welcoming brand centered around a new logo that calls to mind a warm quilt pattern, as well as a color palette and imagery that evoke Homestead’s rural roots. “Leibowitz’s outsider perspectives of our brand were incredibly valuable,” said Laura Tillman, Marketing Communications Manager at Homestead. “We were used to communicating a certain way and couldn’t see some of what they saw immediately.” Homestead’s new website is the product of strategic thinking, wireframes, interface designs and front- and back-end development. To further reinforce Homestead’s brand promise as a trusted investment partner, we recently created three engaging, animated videos to help educate investors on basic investment principles.
